Bone Broth Soup
- Bring 3-4 cups of water to a boil
- add ribs, {meat}, {carrots}, potatoes, onions
- simmer for one hour
- add greens and a few beaten eggs
- continue simmer for 10 minutes
Goulash
- Melt butter / add oil and add onions
- Add meat
- Add garlic, tomatoes, bell peppers
- Add salt, paprika
- Add broth, carrots, potatoes, bring to a boil and simmer for 40 minutes
- Season with black pepper and oregano
Braised Cabbage with Shiitake Mushrooms
- Break cabbages into sizable chunks, stir-fry in oil
- Add shiitake mushrooms and stir-fry
- Add water + carrots, add salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce and bring to a boil
- Simmer for 1.5 hours
Smoky Potato Stew
- Sauté onions and meat
- Add diced potatoes and carrots
- Add water + paprika, a dash of soy sauce and simmer for 45 minutes
- Smash a few potatoes against the side of the pot to thicken the sauce
Korean-Style "Army Stew" (Simplified Budae Jjigae)
- In your pot, layer onions, mushrooms, and any meat
- Add water or broth, a big spoonful of soy sauce, a dash of sugar, and as much chili flakes/hot sauce as you like
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes
- Drop a block of instant ramen noodles (minus the seasoning packet) and a handful of greens on top
